Ferdinand's diary. In no particular order...

I'll copy exerts from Ferdinand's jottings. Change the I to him, and me to Ferdinand – from first to third person. I think he would like that. Plus when it's all typed out he can edit it when— If he returns...

I am trying to write my autobiography. I have been writing for six months and have written three pages. At this rate I shall be one-hundred and twenty-five when it is finished. Trouble is—

“Ferdi?”

I suffer from interruptions. That is Dolly. A stripy female who—

“HEEELLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

And that is Lilly – large splodgey female. She went deaf a couple of years. She has hyperthyroidism which means she’s lost a bit of sight too. She takes tablets twice a day...

“There’s a lot of cat fur on this keyboard.”

Susan – female biped of the household.

“That cat is going to the vets.”

Martin – male biped of the household.
